Amla (Indian gooseberry) — the sour green fruit Indian homes have pickled, candied and preserved for generations — meets jaggery (Gud), the unrefined sweetener our grandparents trusted long before white sugar reached the kitchen shelf. We slow-coat tender amla pieces in pure jaggery until they turn into soft, tangy-sweet candy that children ask for and elders quietly finish.
Nothing else goes in: no added preservatives, no refined sugar, no colours. Just amla, jaggery and time. Keep the jar on the desk, in the car, in the tiffin — it is the rare treat you can say yes to without thinking twice.
Every jar is prepared in small batches in Chinhat, Lucknow, in our Always Limited tradition, and marked with its batch number and best-before date (6 months). Available in 100g and 200g jars.
