Jamun - the black plum - has been familiar in Indian households for generations, and the seed at the centre of the fruit has a long history of its own in Indian kitchens and in Ayurvedic tradition. This jar is that seed, dried and ground, and nothing else: no fillers, no colours, no preservatives, no artificial anything.
The seeds are dried gently in the shade, roasted with care, and ground to a fine powder. Every batch is prepared by hand in our small kitchen in Chinhat, Lucknow, in small batches - which is also why there is only ever so much of it at a time.
Each 100 g jar is marked with its batch number and a best-before date twelve months out. Store in a cool, dry place. Jamun seed powder is used in small quantities in traditional Indian households; if you are pregnant, nursing or under a doctor's care, please check with a qualified practitioner before adding anything new to your diet.

Daily use: Mix ½ to 1 teaspoon in a warm glass of water and drink once daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach or with breakfast. In Daily Wellness Routine: Add ½ teaspoon to smoothies, warm milk, or herbal drinks. Mix with a pinch of black pepper. First thing in the morning: Consume 1 teaspoon in water first thing in the morning, before any food.
