- Traditionally taken to beat the heat
- A natural source of dietary fibre
- Swells in minutes — ready for falooda and sherbet
- Clean, whole seeds — nothing added
Long before imported "superfoods" arrived, every Indian summer already had its hero: sabja — the sweet basil seed floating in every glass of falooda, rose sherbet and milk at the neighbourhood stall. Traditionally taken to keep the body feeling cool through the hottest months, sabja soaks in minutes into soft, translucent pearls.
These little seeds are also a natural source of dietary fibre, which is why elders always said a glass of sabja water "settles the stomach" on a scorching afternoon.
We pack our sabja seeds clean and whole, in small lots — the Always Limited way. Nothing roasted away, nothing sprayed on, nothing added.
100% whole sabja seeds (sweet basil / Ocimum basilicum). No additives, no preservatives.
Soak 1–2 teaspoons in a glass of water for 15–20 minutes until the seeds swell into soft pearls. Add to lemonade, rose sherbet, milk, falooda or plain cool water. Best enjoyed in the warmer months.
